Join the Friends for our next fundraiser- Wine, Chocolate, and a Good Book!
On Leap Day, 2020 (Saturday, February 29), please join us from 4:00 to 6:30PM at a beachfront home in Oceanside for an opportunity to meet with a local author, experience curated wine and chocolate pairings, and a silent auction for prizes including a golf vacation in Arizona and a week at a mountain retreat in Northern CA.

Gifts Galore Fundraiser
The Friends are pleased to present their Holiday fundraiser saile “Gifts Galore” from 1-4PM in the Civic Center Library’s Community Rooms on December 8, 2019
The event will feature a silent auction for the use of a 3-bedroom vacation condo in South Lake Tahoe for the dates of April 25 through May 2, 2020!
November 2019 BAM Sale!
The Friends will be hosting their quarterly BAM (Books And Media) sale on November 16 at 602 Civic Center Drive (Behind the Library – the Code Enforcement building). The sale opens at 9AM for Friends Members and 10AM for the General Public.
The Joy of Names w/Dr Richard Lederer!
The Friends of the Oceanside Public Library are pleased to welcome Dr. Richard Lederer to Oceanside for a presentation of his program titled “The Joy of Names” on October 26, 2019 at 2PM. The presentation will be in the Civic Center Library Community Rooms.
Almost everyone on earth has a name. In The Joy of Names, best-selling language author Richard Lederer reveals all you need to know about first names, baby names, last names, nicknames, cruel and unusual names, movie stars’ names, presidents’ names, eponymous names, names from myths, authors’ pseudonyms, and other fascinating facts about names.
Admission to the event is FREE for Friends Members, and just $5 for non-members.

The Holiday Home Tour Returns!
The Friends’ popular Holiday Home Tour event returns for 2018 with a walking tour of four adjacent oceanfront houses in Oceanside, CA. Tickets are $25 for Friends members, and $30 for the general public. Te event will feature an auction for a one week vacation in Sedona, AZ from May 25-June 1, 2019.
